SEO Executive

This is a great opportunity to work for an expanding digital marketing agency in Hull. The successful applicant will be learning on-the-job from our search experts with the opportunity to apply their knowledge to grow our clients.

Outline of Role

The SEO Executive is suitable for those who have a knowledge of SEO and a desire to build a career within the digital marketing industry. You will have the chance to progress from assisting on existing search campaigns, through to managing strategies for clients as your knowledge develops and the company expands.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse key data
  • Assist with the creation of marketing reports
  • Prepare statistical analysis for SEO team
  • Performing keyword research & analysis
  • Write and amend content for websites
  • Perform health-checks on client websites and feedback on issues
  • Produce client-facing campaign proposals and reports
  • Undertake research on-behalf of clients
  • Identify opportunities for clients and prospects
  • Prepare for sales opportunities and produce ROI forecasts
  • Attend client meetings and gain first-hand experience
  • Assist with the promotion of marketing campaigns
  • Assist with the creation of marketing plans and strategies
  • Ad-hoc SEO tasks as required
  • Support the team with administration tasks
  • Support junior members of the team, upskilling and developing them

Qualifications

Secondary education with grade C or above in GCSE English and Mathematics.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive delivery of all responsibilities from the Junior SEO Executive role
  • A good understanding of SEO / internet technologies and the commercial benefit that can be delivered
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to liaise and communicate effectively with other teams
  • A willingness to learn and develop
  • Knowledge of social networking
  • Basic understanding of search engine principles
  • Self-starter, analytical, methodical with a passion for technology
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Desirable

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Good understanding of HTML
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience in setting up a website / blogging
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Webmaster tools and ability to utilise their data
  • Relevant experience in a similar role – helpful but not essential
  • Relevant qualification / degree - helpful but not essential

Training

You will receive a combination of the following:

The normal progression route for an SEO Executive will lead to a Senior SEO Executive position.

Salary & Benefits

  • £14k-18k DOE
  • 34 hours per week
  • Friday afternoons off
  • 22 days annual leave per annum (plus bank holidays)

Outline of Role

This role is ideal for a talented web developer with a proven track record delivering high quality web projects. You will have an aptitude for problem solving, experience of the latest web design and development technologies and have a passion for continuous learning.

You will be based at our head office in Hessle. As a web developer at META, you'll be working on innovative projects alongside our development and digital marketing experts.

Responsibilities

  • Development of: brochure, dynamic and ecommerce websites
  • Development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid/PHP/C#
  • Maintaining existing client portfolio
  • Keeping up to date with advancements in web development technologies and how this affects the business environment
  • Attend client meetings and web development briefings

Requirements

  • 1+ years industry experience
  • Expertise in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
  • Experience with any of the following languages: Liquid/PHP/C#/VB.NET
  • Good understanding of UI/UX processes and best practice

Training

Training is done in-house and via external training courses or conferences. As the industry continues to evolve, it is vital for our web developers to keep up to date with the latest software and technology.
